McKinsey & Company Kuala Lumpur and TalentCorp Malaysia is organising a dinner talk on what senior leaders in business and government can do to support the development of women talent at different levels of the organisation.

Joanna Barsh, Director Emeritus with McKinsey and author of the highly acclaimed book “How Remarkable Women Lead”, will be presenting McKinsey’s latest research on effective strategies that companies have undertaken to advance women to senior leadership positions. This will be followed by a discussion of real-life experiences on what it takes to better attract, retain and develop women leaders in Malaysian organisations, and showcasing practical examples on how to better tap this vast talent pool.

ABOUT JOANNA BARSH
Joanna Barsh 
Director Emeritus of McKinsey

Joanna Barsh joined McKinsey in 1981 and is currently a Director Emeritus of McKinsey, based in the United States. She led the McKinsey Centered Leadership Project with the goal of developing women leaders based on their intrinsic strengths, culminating in the publication of the internationally acclaimed book “How Remarkable Women Lead”.

Joanna has published widely on the topics of leadership and gender diversity, including a collaboration with the Wall Street Journal assessing the impact of women in the US economy. Joanna is also a member of the State Department’s International Council on Women’s Business Leadership subcommittee and a member of the NY Women’s Forum. She is also a trustee of Sesame Workshop. Joanna graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, University of Chicago and the Harvard Business School where she was a Baker Scholar.
