Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz has been an Independent Non-Executive Chairman and Independent Non-Executive Director of AirAsia X Berhad since March 3, 2011. She is Malaysia’s longest-serving Minister of International Trade and Industry, having served in that capacity from 1987 to 2008, and contributes a wealth of international experience.Previously, she has also held the portfolio of Minister of Public Enterprises from 1980 to 1987 and Deputy Minister of Finance from 1977 to 1980. She also has experience lecturing at the faculty of Economics and Administration at the University of Malaya. Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Malaya, obtained in 1966 and a Masters degree in Economics in 1970.Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz has been awarded Honorary Doctorates from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Tun Abdul Razak, and Dominican University of California. She also serves as Chairman of Megasteel and Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studio.

Johan Mahmood Merican was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) since its establishment on 1 January 2011. With Malaysia’s wealth of talent and abundance of opportunities, Johan is confident that through the public and private sectors working closely together, we can address the talent needs of our economic transformation.Johan was previously the Principal Private Secretary to the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia and has 18 years of experience in policy development, corporate finance and accountancy in both the public and private sectors in Malaysia and the United Kingdom. Trained as a chartered accountant, he holds a first class honours degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Sophia Chew 
Vice President of Intel Corporation, Software and Services Group Director, Developer Relations Division Operations PRC & Asia Pacific

Sophia Chew is vice president of the Software and Services Group at Intel Corporation. She is currently the director of operations, Developer Relations Division for PRC and Asia Pacific. Before assuming this role, she was the general manager for Services, Worldwide Sales & Operations Group in Sales and Marketing. Sophia Chew was also vice president and general manager for Intel’s worldwide Reseller Channel Operation. She has also been director of the APAC reseller channel operation, responsible for the distribution and channel business in the Asia-Pacific region. Sophia has also served as a channel marketing manager, a finance controller and has held other management positions within Intel’s Sales and Marketing Group.Sophia received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from National University of Singapore.

Shankar Nagalingam

Shankar Nagalingam is Dell’s current Country Human Resources Director for South Asia and ANZ. Shankar has more than 20 years of experience in numerous HR functions supporting Manufacturing, Services and Solutions, Technical Support, Business Operations, Information Technology, Sales & Marketing and Contact Centers, within multinational environments. During his 10-year tenure in Dell, Shankar has held key positions such as Director of Talent Acquisition for South Asia/ANZ and HR Business Partner leading Malaysia Services and Technical Support Contact Center Operation, Asia Sales Organisation and Global Business Operations and Marketing. Prior to joining Dell, Shankar was leading the talent acquisition organisation for Komag USA (Malaysia) As a self-motivated, inspiring leader and people person, Shankar is also passionate about coaching young talents to grow and thrive in their career aspirations.

Jenny Ooi
Senior Human Resources Director, Agilent Technologies

TalentCorp Diversity Advocate Jenny is the Senior HR Director of Agilent Technologies for Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. She’s also the Senior Business HR Director supporting Agilent’s largest Division with business teams in the US, Germany, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.A graduate of the Royal Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (U.K), Jenny brings with her, 20 years of diverse working experience in the field of Finance, Supply Chain, Business Development and HR. In the last 12 months, Agilent has won all the top HR awards in Malaysia for Employer of Choice, Best Learning organisation, Best Employer for Women accorded by MIHRM, HRDF, Women In Leadership Asia, Aon Hewitt and HR Magazine. On a personal note, Jenny was recognised as the HR Leader of the Year by MIHRM and HR Magazine. Jenny leads her dynamic team in building organisational capabilities that delivers on business strategies – making Agilent a Premier Test and Measurement company. It is in the Human Resource field that she finds true career satisfaction.

Vimaleswari Ramasamy
Director, Intel HR Shared Services Center

Vimaleswari, fondly known as Vimi, joined Intel 16 years ago, as an E&E engineer in the Equipment Automation department, was the first female engineer in developing backend test equipment solutions based in US. She grew her career from there into managing design and developing Engineering teams which provided backend test solutions.Over the years, she has built strong teams and also continued to take on different roles including sponsoring the Women @ Intel Network (WIN) and developing people. More recently, she took a radical shift in her career moving away from engineering into managing the Malaysia HR Shared Services Centre with the intent to re-engineer and converge services with more technology. Over the past couple of years, Vimi has been sought out for interviews and talks on the subject of diversity.
