Berjaya Corporation Berhad: Flexible Work Arrangements

Published on April 27, 2016
One of Malaysia’s largest conglomerates, Berjaya Corporation Berhad began the pilot run of the Staggered Working Hours (SWHA) initiative in October 2015 with the aim to help employees find a balance between work and family commitments. Employees are allowed to select preferred working times – 8:00am to 5:00pm, 9:00am to 6:00pm or 9:30am to 6:30pm.
The initiative benefits largely working parents with school-going children and allows them the flexibility of selecting preferred working times without compromising on productivity at work.

The implementation of staggered hours has received positive feedback from employees and moving forward, Berjaya Corporation Berhad has now officially implemented the SWHA initiative at its Corporate Office in January 2016.
