Besi APac: Flexible Work Arrangements

Published on 16 February 2016.
With a 1,600 employee headcount across its Europe and Asia locations, Besi APac, began implementing flexible staggered hours in 2014 with the objective of promoting work-life integration and to allow working mothers the flexibility in managing personal and professional needs.
Employees are allowed to come as early as 7.30 a.m. up to 9.00 a.m. and leave office as early as 4.30 p.m. up to 6.00 p.m. to complete their normal working hours.

Besi's other initiatives include family friendly facilities such as priority parking lots for all pregnant employees and a lactation room for breastfeeding mothers.

The implementation of staggered hours has received positive feedback from employees and moving forward, Besi is aiming to introduce the next phase of the staggered hour policy which targets employees who work longer hours than normal and are looking to convert these additional hours into overtime pay.
