Carlsberg Malaysia: Flexible Work Arrangements

In 2014, Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Berhad (Carlsberg Malaysia) introduced the Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) policy with the objectives of strengthening employee engagement & motivation as well as enhancing talent attraction and retention.
Under the FWA policy, employees have the option of flexible working hours or to work from home as well as a 2-hour time off (granted upon request) to attend to personal commitments. 

Moving beyond FWA, Carlsberg Malaysia also provides nursing rooms for its female employees, accumulated leave options for those planning for longer vacations and a 39-hour work week for non-unionised workers.

Welcomed by employees, Carlsberg Malaysia reported positive responses towards the company culture and its work & development policies in its employee engagement survey. This is also evident in the high uptake of FWA policies, especially amongst married female employees.
