DKSH Malaysia: Flexible Work Arrangements, Family Friendly Facilities and Work-Life Benefits

Published on 12 November 2015.
“Diversity comes naturally to DKSH and we have always recognized its value. At DKSH, diversity is part of our genetic heritage and an integral part of our company culture. Today, around 28,000 people representing 57 nationalities work closely together in 35 countries to serve our clients and customers.” Viknesh Nambiar, Senior Director, Human Resources, Indochina & North East Asia, DKSH
Women make up more than 45% of middle and top management levels at DKSH Malaysia and with the objective of maintaining a healthy representation of women in its workforce, the organisation began consolidating its HR policies in 2013 by extending maternity leave by another 30 days and introducing paternity and careers' leave for all employees.

By 2014, subsequent FWA initiatives such as part-time work options, flexible working hours where employees may start work between 7-9am  and leave between 4-6pm and reduced work options were introduced to cater for certain work conditions such as women in their final trimester of their pregnancies.

Other family-friendly initiatives include designated car parks for expecting mothers, nursing rooms and study or exam leave for all employees.
